SiteCam
6.0 for Macintosh OS-9
SiteCam
6.0 is a full-featured Web camera application for streaming live
audio & video as well as time-lapse movies via the Internet.
It
includes a built-in Web server that streams live video to your viewer's
browser, without the need for 3rd-party viewing software plug-ins.
Using a powerful multiple-document model format, SiteCam will automatically
select the best streaming format for the viewer's browser and stream
images to fit the viewers available bandwidth.
Live
streaming video requires a static IP address and an DSL connection
or better (DSL, Cable modem, T1, etc.) However, for modem users, SiteCam
can also be used with a modem dial-up connection to provide current
images to a remote server using the File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
SiteCam will also automatically archive a history of images --so you
can save images over long periods of time to track the progress of
your subject and create time-lapse movies.
If you
already have an active Web site, you can quickly add a link to the
streaming video (which points to the Server running SiteCam) or to
the still images and time-lapse movies that have been uploaded to
the server.
Available only in electronic download format. A user name and
password will be sent vial email within 24 hours.
| General SiteCam

browser plug-ins or other client applications for viewing video

General
Requirements
SiteCam
requires a computer running the Macintosh Operating System with
a video input. If you serve all of your Web pages on a Unix or
Windows NT server, you can continue to do so. Just add a reference
to your dedicated SiteCam server. If you want, you can also serve
any other kind of HTML files from the built-in SiteCam Web server.
Most
Mac's are Internet and video input ready, so its a simple matter
to add it to your existing TCP/IP network. Our step-by-step instructions
will get you up in a matter of minutes.
If
you are unsure of the setup and technical aspects, we also offer
a complete package with Web server, SiteCam and some sample pages
to help you get started.
